Writing and Performance Workshops

Professional performers – songwriters, comedians, and more – teach a writing workshop series to a small class that culminates with each student performing a short set

HOW + WHY IT WORKS
Workshops enable comedians, songwriters, and other artists to share their expertise with comedy fans who now have free time at home to work on their comedy routines. Students receive individual coaching while still practicing in group settings, working towards the goal of delivering a final output by the end of the series.

EXAMPLE
The nonprofit arts organization Baltimore Improv Group held its first Zoom-based improv comedy show in March 2020 and when they posted the performance to YouTube after, it was viewed by over 200 people.
RESOURCES TO MAKE IT HAPPEN
Zoom's free tier enables anyone to hold unlimited 40-minute meetings for up to 100 participants.
